019. Waterfalls
JUNE 2005: Waterfalls
Although my principal destination was the Paraguayan border city of Ciudad del Este – in an attempt to obtain a student visa – , it was impossible for me to leave Foz do Iguaçu without having visited the world famous waterfalls. On the day of my return from Paraguay, I found a cheap hotel in downtown Foz do Iguaçu. The hotel owner enthusiastically provided me a load of touristic information about his city. Following his directions, I took the bus to the visitor’s center at the Brazilian part of the waterfalls park. I took the paved routes along a large number of waterfalls. It was cloudy, with some drizzle. That day I got confronted with a lot of water and green.
