SEPTEMBER 2005: Milkman
The picture above might remind of earlier times, when milk was collected and transported in large iron milk cans. Most of the milk produced in Brazil is collected by modern milk trucks; however, at some distant locations, horses are still essential for the transport of fresh milk. This farmer has to carry to milk cans with his faithful horse. Head down, the horse slowly carries on with the heavy load, accompanied by two dogs and some distance. These four had a long way to go, on the unpaved, hilly road.
