The mountainous area around the city of Belo Horizonte offers plenty of stunning views of the huge city, which extends until the base of the mountain peaks. The average altitude of Belo Horizonte is about nine hundred meters above sea level, with some significant differences within the city limits. For some very steep hills, you need to have strong legs to reach the top of those hills. One of the best views is offered in the urban park of Mangabeiras . This park is located in the south, at the base of Serra de Corral, at an altitude of more than one thousand meters. Viewpoints in the park offer you much opportunity to witness breathtaking, colorful sunsets. Or to observe captivating colors when dark clouds gather for yet another water ballet in the city , while you still are allowed to enjoy abundant sunshine – at least for a while.
