297: Doorstep
Pitangui is a historic town just over a hundred kilometers southwest of Belo Horizonte. Already in the seventeenth century this settlement hosted pioneers and fledged slaves. In 1715, Pitangui received the status of a vila, a small town. Originally, the territory of Pitangui was extended, but gradually it was divided into four dozen municipalities. A large number of the original colonial houses have been demolished, but still there are houses in the original state. As can be seen with the doorstep on the picture. A weathered doorstep, which has witnessed many footsteps through time.
