378: Water reflection
Although Guarapari is located in the state of Espíritio Santo, and the famous beaches of Rio de Janeiro are closer to the city of Belo Horizonte, many belohorizontinos (inhabitants of the city of Belo Horizonte) and mineiros (inhabitants of the state of Minas Gerais) prefer to spend their holidays at the beaches in Guarapari. No wonder that many hotels, hostels, restaurants, and stores are focused on tourists from Minas Gerais. For the mineiros, it is as if they are at home, AND on the beach. When I was in Guarapari, I met many mineiros there. Late in the afternoon, at the time of sunset, most of them had already gone to their hotels, the beach looked deserted. The thin water film on the beach served as a natural mirror, in which the buildings that flanking the beach are reflected on the beach.
