385: Inhotim water mirror
At a short distance (60 km) from Belo Horizonte, Inhotim Park and Contemporary Open Air Museum offers a unique combination of contemporary art and nature. Art works from various artists from Brazil and abroad are found widespread in the park. One of the art works is Galeria Adriana Varejão, created in 2008 by architect Rodrigo Cerviño Lopez from São Paulo. It consists of a large, closed concrete box, with an entrance over a water mirror. That water mirror forms a prefect division with the surrounding nature. As a result, the turquoise blue hue of the water mirror creates an interesting contrast with natural green hues of the plants, as is seen in the photograph.
