326: Pink flower

Only three days were spent in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul. The bus travel from Belo Horizonte to Campo Grande, the capital, took about 17 hours. The remainder of the first day was spent in Campo Grande, to visit the nearby Shopping Mall, and the main avenue. The following day, we took a bus to the bus station, from where we took another bus to Aquidauana, a small city that is part of a very large municipality bearing the same name. That day, it was very hot: it felt as if the temperature had exceeded fifty degrees. The heat was reflected by the ground, and it felt like we were in an oven: the heat was everywhere. Suddenly, a fierce breeze caused some slight panic among the people in the street: some obstacles fell down or were moved by the strong windforce. When it was calm again, we enjoyed the natural environment, where this beautiful flower was observed.

320: Pink flowers

During the weekends, I was regularly found in the center of Belo Horizonte. Sometimes I visited the versatile Mercado Central on Saturday, or the cozy open air market Feira Hippie on Sunday morning, followed by a visit to Parque Municipal, the city park. A butterfly park was recently opened there, and various types of butterflies actually came across the colorful and fragrant flowers. Even in the absence of butterflies, it was very pleasant to wander around in the colored beds of various flowers. With my camera in hand. As a result, this beautiful flower with an intense pink color was pictured.

296: Colorful sunset

The beaches in the state of Paraíba are the easternmost located on the South American subcontinent. The Paraíba coastline measures 138 km; the beaches north of the capital João Pessoa belong to the northern beaches (‘litoral norte’), and the beaches south of the southern beaches (‘litoral sul’). The most famous beaches – including Praia dos Seixas, Tambaba, Tambaú, Coqueirinho – belong to the southern beaches. One of the most beautiful beaches is undoubtedly Praia do Coqueirinho. The beach, with calm seawater, is surrounded by palm trees. The colorful sand rock formations are suitable to beautiful compositions. However, the blue and purple colors of the sunset impressed me most.
